Breath Death, Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to getbreathdeath.com.

Conformance status

getbreathdeath.com has been remediated to conform substantially with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is a superset of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, so this site meets and exceeds the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard.

How the site was tested

The site was independently evaluated by a qualified verifier using:

  • Manual screen reader testing with NVDA and JAWS
  • Keyboard-only navigation testing
  • Automated scanning (axe-core, WAVE, Lighthouse) as a baseline
  • Judgment-based review of WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria

Verification was performed independently by a qualified verifier who holds a Department of Homeland Security Trusted Tester certification. The Trusted Tester methodology tests to WCAG success criteria, the same technical standard applied to commercial websites.

Known limitations and third-party content

Some content is provided by third-party services that operate outside our direct control. We have configured these to the extent their settings allow and continue to work with the vendors on accessibility:

  • Checkout and account pages are hosted and controlled by Shopify.
  • The shoppable-video player and carousel are provided by LyveCom.
  • The cart and cart drawer are provided by Rebuy.
  • Product reviews are provided by Okendo.
  • Email sign-up forms and promotional pop-ups are provided by Klaviyo.
  • Certain landing pages are built with Replo.

Measures we take

We maintain getbreathdeath.com in substantial conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA on an ongoing basis. Our website and e-commerce team is responsible for day-to-day accessibility. We run automated accessibility scans on a regular cadence, carry out manual screen reader and keyboard review on significant template changes and at least quarterly, give new images descriptive alt text before publishing, and check new pages and templates for heading structure, labels, keyboard operability, visible focus, and color contrast before they go live.
